Nurofen for Children – Strawberry 100 mg/5 ml Oral Suspension
Nurofen for Children – Strawberry is an ibuprofen oral suspension for the short-term relief of
fever, cold and flu symptoms, headache, toothache/teething,
sore throat, earache and minor aches in children aged
3 months (over 5 kg) to 12 years. Each 5 ml contains ibuprofen 100 mg.
Sugar-free, colour-free, strawberry flavour.
Active & Inactive Ingredients
Active (per 5 ml): Ibuprofen 100 mg.
Selected excipients: Maltitol liquid (sugar-free), glycerol, citric acid, sodium citrate,
sodium chloride, polysorbate 80, xanthan gum, domiphen bromide, strawberry flavour, purified water.
Contains maltitol; if your child has been told they have an intolerance to some sugars, consult a healthcare professional before use.

Directions for Use
Shake well before each use. Always use the supplied syringe or spoon for accurate dosing.

- Leave 6–8 hours between doses (minimum 4 hours).
- Do not exceed 30 mg/kg/day of ibuprofen or the age-band maximums shown.
- Under 3 months: only on doctor’s advice.
Precautions & Warnings
- For children 3 months and over (weighing ≥5 kg).
- Do not use if allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, other NSAIDs, or any ingredient.
- Do not use if your child has a stomach ulcer, severe kidney, heart or liver problems, or a history of NSAID-related allergic reactions.
- Seek advice before use if your child has asthma, dehydration, chickenpox, or is taking other medicines (e.g., NSAIDs, aspirin, steroids, anticoagulants).
- Stop and consult a doctor if symptoms worsen, persist for more than 3 days (or more than 24 hours in 3–6 month-olds), or if new symptoms appear.
- Store below 25 °C. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Possible Side Effects
- Common: mild stomach upset, heartburn, nausea or diarrhoea.
- Rare: allergic reactions (rash, wheeze, swelling) — stop use and seek urgent help.
- Very rare: serious skin reactions or kidney problems — seek medical advice if your child becomes unwell.
