Cerazette is a progestogen-only pill (POP), commonly referred to as the ‘mini pill’, used to prevent pregnancy. It contains the active ingredient desogestrel, a synthetic form of the female hormone progestogen. Cerazette works primarily by thickening the cervical mucus to hinder sperm movement and, in many cases, by inhibiting ovulation.
