Standard Method:
- Insertion: Insert one NuvaRing into the vagina and leave it in place for 21 consecutive days.
- 7-Day Break: After 21 days, remove the ring and take a 7-day break during which you may experience a withdrawal bleed.
- Next Ring: Insert a new ring immediately after the 7-day break, even if your bleeding hasn't stopped.
Administration Tips:
- Consistency: Insert and remove the ring on the same day of the week and at the same time to maintain effectiveness.
- Expulsion: If the ring is expelled or removed for more than 3 hours, rinse it with cool to lukewarm water and reinsert it as soon as possible. Use additional contraception for the next 7 days.
